ESD supplies a large percentage of the nations coin operated laundry market for both stores and multi-housing. The company builds a variety of token acceptors for various applications, it has enhanced its presence in the vending industry and amusement arcades; ESD is the world’s largest supplier of coin slides for pool tables.

ESD has not rested on the success enjoyed with its mechanical products. In 1995, ESD acquired a small engineering company dedicated to the research and development of a smart card payment system for the laundry industry. This highly skilled team of computer scientists and electronic engineers designed the software and hardware equipment that would launch ESD into the forefront of an exciting new technology. In 1998 ESD moved its electronic products group into a larger facility in Atlanta, Georgia and in 2002, the entire engineering and research division was incorporated into the corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania.
